Dear OneAmerica Supporter,
It has become a bit of a cliché in the immigrant rights movement, but it’s still true that America is a nation of immigrants. Perhaps you and your family have been here for generations, or maybe you arrived so recently that the dust of your native country is still on the soles of your shoes. Either way, your family’s history is a thread in the larger story of the United States.
If you’ve watched the news recently, you already know that talk about immigration too often turns divisive and negative. At OneAmerica, we organize immigrants and allies to help them raise their voice, shape the debate and create positive policy change. We want to thank you for being a part of our community this year because we think you also share one of our guiding philosophies: we are strongest when we work together.
Will you give $10 today to keep our movement strong?
As the new year dawns, budget cuts threaten the health and safety of immigrants in Washington State, but your support will make it possible for us to do whatever it takes to preserve programs that help immigrants.
Vicious anti-immigrant voices may dominate the national dialogue. But with you on our team, OneAmerica will continue to bring a strong, sane voice to the discussion. Let's remind everyone of the truth that runs deep in our collective history: immigration defines America and immigrants will continue making our country strong.
From everyone at OneAmerica, we wish you and your loved ones a safe and healthy new year.
With love and gratitude,
OneAmerica, formerly Hate Free Zone, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that advances the fundamental principles of democracy and justice by building power within immigrant communities.
